SBA Emerging Leaders Selects James Matheson for Class Participant of 2017

SBA Emerging Leader 2017 James Matheson

SBA Emerging Leaders Selects James Matheson, President of Network Medics, as a 2017 Class Participant.

Network Medics is proud to announce that our president, James Matheson, has been selected to participate on the SBA Emerging Leaders Class of 2017. The SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative is a federal training initiative that specifically focuses on executives of businesses poised for growth in historically challenged communities.

Each local office selects a limited number of small business executives for an intensive 7 month training program (essentially a mini MBA), CEO coaching/mentoring, and guidance for a wide range of business resources (loans, grants, gov’t contracts, etc.). A couple hundred people applied to the Minnesota District Office and James was selected for this year’s cohort of 20.

We know why he was selected! James has been paramount to the steady growth of Network Medics since its inception in 2008. We know James was selected based on his strong leadership with all of our teams here, sound strategies, realistic expectations, and overall being a coworker that everyone looks up to. Being a Gustavus Adolphus graduate of 2002 helped him as well due to having a great foundation from an undergraduate education at a strong local liberal arts college.

(There are a few Gusties at Network Medics, so yes, its a plug for the school.)

The SBA Emerging Leaders training will help Network Medics and James as it is specifically designed to stimulate and support the expansion of our business. The curriculum provides strategies to help us access new avenues of capital. It will offer practical tools to pursue new paths for business development. It will also surround us with a fresh network of government resources and local business leaders.

SBA Emerging Leaders training starts April 6, 2017, which means for the next 7 months James will be even busier then normal. His selection to be on their class of 2017 is well deserved and we are happy to see him grow personally, as he helps all of our staff grow on a daily basis.
